It is with great sadness that TRM informs its customer base and the Microwave industry of the passing of TRM Microwave Founder, Tony Tirollo on 21 May 2016.
TRM will be closing on May 31, 2016, at 10.00 am, to allow all employees to participate in planned services and celebration of life activities.
Tony founded the company in 1970 as an innovative RF design engineer. His training, instincts and determination allowed him to thrive. Ultimately, as the owner of a small business, he performed every job while building a culture of participation and family values amongst the growing employee base. As required for a person who managed a successful business for forty six years, he focused in two areas. He constantly shared his knowledge with employees working to expand each person?s abilities, and he planned ahead. Tony started the transition to a new management team in 2010 with the appointment of Wendy Tirollo as CEO and Mark Schappler as COO. This transition was advanced a year ago in June 2015 when Tony transferred ownership to Wendy and TRM became a Woman owned business.
Although Tony?s presence will be missed on a daily basis, he had the vision to create a sustainable long term business plan focused on serving TRM?s customers with innovative product solutions and the manufacturing capabilities to meet our commitments.
Today, TRM is a vibrant, independent WOSB that will continue this business practice well into the future. The first phase of our 10 year plan aligned organizational goals and built an infrastructure of people necessary to achieve the future growth objectives. This phase was successfully completed in 2015. The next phase has been to focus on facility and capability expansion. TRM will continue our plan to invest in new technologies designed to serve our customers for years into the future.
Indeed Tony will be missed, but the foundation he has left and the clear path moving forward he has orchestrated, are reflections of his ability to see the future full of possibilities.
